During the early hours of that Saturday, neighbors from nearby residential buildings reported an excavation in a garden of the housing unit. Upon receiving the report, members of the Citizen Security Secretariat of CDMX traveled to the location and found the remains of the woman, which showed signs of violence.

Authorities cordoned off the garden of Tlatelolco where the remains of the woman were discovered, whose identity has not yet been confirmed. This finding occurred near the center of Mexico City, while thousands of women were protesting on International Women's Day, demanding justice for cases of femicide and disappearances in the country.

The discovery has shocked the population and intensified the demand for concrete measures to stop gender violence and ensure the safety of women in Mexico. According to reports from La Crónica, the remains showed marks on the neck suggesting strangulation, and authorities continue investigating the area to clarify what happened.
